| The one-day conference will cover the following topics main topics comprising of: – Materials Engineering – Corrosion and Asset Integrity – Inspection Techniques Materials Technologies For A Sustainable Future Materials Engineering Corrosion and Asset Integrity Welding Technology Inspection Techniques. In recent years countries and enterprises have been riding on the bandwagon of global climate change agenda, i.e., the reduction of greenhouse gas emission. The solutions to this climate challenge have always been multi-faceted. Many engineering and technological advances have been deployed while others are eagerly being researched on and piloted in the fields. Some studies also suggest that the most cost-effective means is to curb leaks from fossil fuel sites in the effort to tackle any catastrophic emission of methane that is 80 times more powerful than carbon dioxide especially from poorly maintained equipment. Manufacturing of materials, fabrication, corrosion prevention and inspection play a pivotal role in this regard. Responding to the heat of the century, 6th RMTCE provides an interactive platform for engineers and technologists alike to share best practices and experiences in applying sound engineering solutions involving engineering design, material selection, corrosion mitigation/ control, welding technology and inspection in the effort to minimize both emissions and leaks for a more sustainable future. |
