This course will give attendees an understanding of how procedures are developed to give the optimum range of approval utilising all essential variables. In addition, you should have picked-up the knowledge to supervise welder and weld procedure approval tests and organize and supervise the necessary laboratory tests. You will also be able to interpret test results, identify where re-approval is necessary and understand how to complete the required documentation

- How to interpret requirements for qualifying welding procedures and welders
- The relationships between procedure qualifications and production welding allowances
- Understanding and interpreting various clauses of ASME Sec IX to ensure all relevant clauses are addressed in WPS and PQR

- Reviewing a PQR and WPS for compliance
- Ensuring necessary changes are incorporated
