Anyway, execution and implementation of these tasks are very challenging. The terminal management has to play an active role in developing highly skill and knowledgeable team members. Course Contents

• The fundamentals of distillation, including what it is, its historical context, and where it’s used across industries. The course also explores essential concepts like vapor-liquid equilibrium and phase diagrams, highlighting the significance of these principles. The participants will learn about different types of distillation methods, from simple to fractional and steam distillation
• Process Description of distillation Unit/System, main equipment function and safe operation Envelop. Participants will gain insights into distillation column components, such as trays and packing materials, and understand how heat exchangers and reboilers play a crucial role. The Modules also cover start-up and shutdown procedures, emphasizing safety, and if applicable.
• Normal practice on operating distillation systems more efficient and Problem solving. Highlight on control system philosophy, energy efficiency, and environmental considerations for optimization. The participants will learn how to troubleshoot common issues like foaming and flooding and enhance column efficiency.
• In this session, the trainer will guide you through the intricacies of turnaround activities, starting from the crucial system/equipment handover. Learn about the meticulous steps involved in confined 6space activities and the systematic box-up of equipment. The trainer will share insights into the comprehensive process leading up to pre-startup activities.
• Additionally, delve into the specifics of the Column Decontamination process and the associated procedures. Understand the importance of each step in ensuring a smooth and safe transition during turnarounds. This practical knowledge, drawn from the trainer’s hands-on experience, will provide you with a comprehensive understanding of the critical phases within turnaround activities in a distillation context.
• Wrap up with sharing session. In the final session, the trainer will draw from over 20 years of hands-on experience in operating distillation units, whether in the field or on the console panel. With a wealth of practical knowledge, the trainer will share expertise on effectively managing turnaround activities, coordinating across different departmental disciplines, and monitoring work with contractors in the field. Safety is paramount, and participants will learn about critical safety aspects during turnaround activities, particularly in confined space entry. The trainer will also provide valuable insights gained from personal experiences during emergency situations, such as fire and explosions, including those with unfortunate fatalities. These real-world experiences will help the participants understand the importance of safety protocols and how to respond to unforeseen challenges in a distillation environment
