Risk Management Based on ISO 3100:2018-Foundation
ISO 31000:2018 – Risk Management Guidelines provides the standard reference for individuals and organizations to improve their decision-making processes and implement best practices in managing and operating their business activities. Risk management is an important building block for the growth and sustainability of any organization.
This course is an introductory survey of risk management concepts and techniques. Delegates will be introduced to the different types of business risks, their sources, and best practices for assessing and treating risks. Delegates will also explore the history and development of risk management as a science, and financial and business trends that have shaped the practices of risk management. By the end of the course, delegates will have the essential knowledge to measure, assess, and manage risk in their organization.
Participants will receive a Certificate of Successful Completion as opposed to a certificate of Attendance, upon passing the minimum 25 MCQ test, if selected.

- Module 6 – Competency requirements for risk management in business operations
- Module 7 – Terminologies, definitions, and taxonomy of risks – strategic vs operational
- Module 8 – Standard measures of risk – estimating exposures, limits and decision-making
