IMM Certified Coating/Painting Inspector Level 1

CODE: CIL 1

This certification was introduced to certify and upgrade individuals with coating inspection / QAQC background. There are two levels available for personnel to pursue their career path as a coating/painting inspector.

Objectives

This course is designed to train participants with the knowledge and skills to:

• Specify protective coating / paint system to a variety substrates
• Supervise the preparation of subsrates prior to painting
• Supervise the application of paint coatings
• Conduct   inspections  and   quality   control to  satisfy government, industry  and  union minimum standards
• Diagnose and rectify faults in paint coatings and communicate in written form

Who Should Attend

This course is suitable for those persons who wish to begin a career in this field but have little or no experience and for Painting Inspector, Painting Supervisor, Technicians, Specifier, and Engineers who desire to broader their knowledge in the use of protective paints and coatings.

Pre-Requisites

• IMM CI Level 1: No previous working experience required
