The Coatings Inspection Certification Scheme is to train and upgrade individuals in coating inspection and quality control. This scheme will equip the graduate with the knowledge and skills to demand sufficient authority for his decisions to be recognized by both clients and controller

• Specify protective coating / paint system to a variety substrates
• Supervise the preparation of subsrates prior to painting
• Supervise the application of paint coatings
• Conduct inspections and quality control to satisfy government, industry and union minimum standards
• Diagnose and rectify faults in paint coatings and communicate in written form
