KOTA KINABALU: The Sabah government will ensure that the state remains an attractive investment destination in the region for the oil and gas industry.
Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Dr Joachim Gunsalam said the O&G industry continues to be a significant contributor to the state’s economic growth, and the state government actively engages with the industry through its agencies and government-linked companies (GLCs). He said Sabah Oil and Gas Development Corporation (SOGDC), Sabah International Petroleum (SIP), Sabah Energy Corporation (SEC) and also the newly set up SMJ Sdn Bhd are among some of the entities dealing with the industry.
